Effective goal setting involves setting SMART goals. SMART is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

  • Measurable: A measurable goal includes criteria for tracking progress and outcomes.

  • Achievable: An achievable goal is realistic and attainable within the given resources and constraints.

  • Relevant: A relevant goal aligns with broader recovery objectives and personal values.
