How to Overcome the Worst of Your Day and Recover From It Quickly
It's a bad day. You know the kind: no matter how hard you try, nothing seems to work out the way you want. Yes, we've all been there, and we know how it feels.
Sometimes, it’s just nice to have fun. But, there are days when I get so caught up in my thoughts. My thoughts run... “I am not learning enough, not doing enough, not progressing in areas I would like to.” But then I begin to look back and reflect on what I have achieved.
If fear gets out of control, it can take over and prevent us from enjoying life. When we’re consumed by fear, we can’t be present for others or do the things we love. Overwhelming fear affects our health, zaps our strength, makes it difficult to concentrate, and robs us of sleep.
Work, family, financial challenges, Covid-19, even going to the dentist, and all the other stressors in the world can really take a toll on one’s emotional awareness. It’s not easy to be happy and enjoy life if your emotional health isn’t at a high level. However, while many of life’s ups and downs are beyond our control, many things are within our control.
Expressing gratitude can be difficult for some people. Oftentimes, gratitude is mixed in with other feelings like jealousy, envy, embarrassment, or insecurity. Why? Because it can be humbling to admit that we need help from others.
